What we offer
Collaboration is the ultimate competitive advantage for businesses and
organizations striving to achieve results in a complex and challenging
environment.
At TEAMVAERK, we are experts in collaboration.
We aspire to change the world for the better. Nothing less. Good
collaboration yields better results and makes work more enjoyable.
On a daily basis we advise our clients on how to collaborate
towards substantial goals. Collaboration to implement major
projects. Collaboration for change. We believe that
collaboration is the key to solving even the most complicated
challenges.
We strengthen collaboration by combining ongoing people development
with data from our digital tools.
The Method
Collaboration is a muscle that needs to be trained. And like
other muscles, you must train collaboration regularly and
systematically for it to become stronger.
The TEAMVAERK method is a structured approach that systematically
and effectively helps the team to continuously develop and improve
collaboration.
The method has three simple steps:
Collaboration Workshop
The team makes simple behavior-based collaboration agreements.
Ongoing Measurements
The team assesses the collaboration based on the specific agreements.
Continuous Dialogue
Ongoing expectation alignment and dialogue about the collaboration after each measurement.
The implementation of the TEAMVAERK method is supported by our digital collaboration tool.
The Toolbox
At TEAMVAERK, we have a large toolbox of methods, techniques, and analytical approaches to promote collaboration, resolve conflicts, generate ideas, and make decisions.
Expertize areas
The TEAMVAERK method is one method with many possibilities. It is used to develop and strengthen collaboration in various teams that need to achieve results together. We work with both small and large teams, internally and between organizations, and at all levels and groups of stakeholders, from residents to senior executives.
Interorganizational collaboration
Interorganizational collaboration can be complex and often
presents more challenges than internal collaboration within an
organization, due to different cultures, structures, processes,
bottom lines, etc.
TEAMVAERK’s approach is established to address the unique challenges
and dynamics that may arise in cross-organizational collaboration.
Common Ground
The first step is for members from the different organizations to jointly establish a set of clear and realistic collaboration agreements. The purpose is to create a common direction, ensure coordination, and foster trust across the organizations.
Common measurement
The cross-organizational team regularly measures collaboration and their jointly defined collaboration agreements. The measurement identifies areas that require improvement and action.
Team check and action
Following the measurement, participants gather for a cross-functional team check where they discuss the results; both the positive aspects of collaboration and any challenges. Together, they develop specific actions to improve collaboration.
By adapting these steps to cross-organizational collaboration, teams from different organizations can work effectively together while respecting and valuing each other's contributions.
Internal teams
TEAMVAERK’s approach to establishing a solid foundation for collaboration, development, and results within each individual team focuses on cohesion and collaboration internally within the team.
Collaboration agreements
The first step in the process is to establish clear and realistic collaboration agreements within the team. These agreements should be specifically tailored to the team's internal dynamics and goals, focusing on promoting open communication, mutual respect, and a culture of trust.
Measurement and feedback
With the collaboration agreements in place, a routine of regular measurement and feedback is introduced. This step focuses on assessing how the team adheres to the established agreements, identifying areas for improvement, and celebrating successes.
Team checks and plan
Measurement alone doesn't create change. After each measurement, the team gathers for an internal team check. Here, the results are openly discussed, and the team collaborates to recognise the positive aspects of their collaboration and address any challenges.
By following this approach, internal teams strengthen their ability to work together effectively, resolve conflicts, and achieve their goals. This not only leads to improved results for the individual team but also contributes to a stronger and more collaborative organizational culture.
Projects & organizations with multiple teams
TEAMVAERK’s approach draws on principles of collaboration, leadership, and interorganizational synergy to enable large projects and organizations to work well together across teams.
Design phase
In the design phase, the framework for collaboration and a clear team structure are established. This fundamental step ensures that all projects begin with a shared understanding of goals, expectations, and working methods based on the overall strategy.
Collaboration agreements
Building on the frameworks defined in the design phase, each individual team develops specific collaboration agreements. These agreements are tailored to the team's unique needs and goals, while still aligning with the overall framework.
Ongoing measurement
All teams continually measure against the established collaboration agreements. This enables early identification of both successes and challenges, allowing for timely adjustments.
Team check and action
Based on data from ongoing measurement, each team holds regular team checks where they assess their collaboration. This step involves open dialogue about the results and concrete action plans to address challenges and strengthen collaboration.
Management insight
The aggregated data and insights from ongoing measurements and
team checks are reported upward to management, providing them
with an overview of the overall state of the project portfolio.
This includes:
A) Early warnings: Management receives early warnings
about potential challenges, enabling them to intervene proactively
and support teams in navigating obstacles.
B) Comprehensive overview: A comprehensive report
covering the status of collaboration, risks, and successes across
all projects in the portfolio. This gives management a clear picture
of portfolio performance and where strategic adjustments or resource
reallocation may be needed.
Following this structure ensures that large projects and organizations can manage the complexity of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously while achieving maximum synergy and efficiency across the portfolio.
Leadership teams
Leadership teams typically face a range of unique challenges. This could include balancing strategic and operational needs or ensuring collaboration and value creation across different departments. TEAMVAERK contributes to ensuring that leadership teams not only can navigate their complex work environment but also thrive in it.
Collaboration agreements
The leadership group first defines clear and simple behaviour-based collaboration agreements crucial to achieving their goals. These agreements may focus on setting direction, ensuring coordination and support from lower levels, or relating to the team's internal collaboration around aspects like trust and communication.
Measurement
The leadership group follows a consistent routine of regularly measuring how collaboration is progressing. The measurement focuses on their collaboration agreements and provides a clear indication of where there is success and where there is room for improvement.
Team check
Team checks are team-based reflections where joint action agreements are made, based on the measurement. During the meeting, leaders acknowledge the aspects of collaboration that are going well and work on the challenges identified in the measurement. This is translated into concrete action.
Through this approach, the leadership group systematically trains the collaboration muscle. It not only promotes collaboration internally within the leadership but also builds a culture in the organization where open, constructive, and regular feedback is an integrated part of daily operations.
